Chiropractic care is used most often to treat neuromusculoskeletal complaints, including but not limited to back pain, neck pain, pain in the joints of the arms or legs, and headaches. Doctors of Chiropractic – often referred to as chiropractors – practice a drug-free, hands-on approach to health care that includes patient examination, diagnosis and treatment. Chiropractors have broad diagnostic skills and are also trained to take & read X-Rays and to recommend therapeutic and rehabilitative exercises, as well as to provide nutritional, dietary and lifestyle advice. The most common therapeutic procedure performed by doctors of chiropractic is known as “spinal manipulation,” also called “chiropractic adjustment.” The purpose of manipulation is to restore joint mobility by manually applying a controlled force into joints that have become hypomobile – or restricted in their movement – as a result of a tissue injury.

My great love of sports and science led to me training as a personal trainer and sports massage therapist in 2004. While working as a personal trainer for GP referrals, i gained invaluable experience in the rehabilitation of sports injuries.

After the birth of my two sons i decided to focus on sports massage therapy and began working alongside a chiropractor in a local clinic for a number of years, treating a wide variety of people, and realising the enormous benefits of treating the musculoskeletal system alongside the skeletal system.

I took my Level 4 and 5 in sports massage therapy in 2016, achieving a distinction in both and have completed many courses focusing on postural awareness, biomechanics, myofascial release and kinesiology taping. I’m a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists and look to continue to further my knowledge inorder to provide the most effective treatments.

I’m a keen offroad runner, especially when accompanied by my two devoted dogs and have successfully competed in two Southdowns Marathons and the Salomon X-Trail Series. I’m also an enthusiastic horse rider and in my spare time i love to compete my horse locally.
